新春は禊とともに幕開けしました
新春お慶び申し上げます。
さて今年は宮司と一般の方々で行われました禊により、新年がスタート致しました。
男性が１５名、女性が１０名の参加となりました。一番遠い所では大阪からまた福岡、
鹿児島、大分よりおいでいただきました。皆様ホームページをご覧になり、ぜひ参加したいと
いうことでお問い合わせがございまた。私たちも思わぬ反響にびっくりいたしました。
禊は元日の７時２０分に始まりました。男性は褌を女性は白装束を身に着けられ、
さあ皆さん海へ入りましょうというちょうどその時、雲間より太陽がのぞきました。
それはまるで天照皇大御神様がお出ましになられたような、なんとも神秘的な光景で
ございました。
海の中では宮司が「祓い給え、清め給え・・・」と祝詞を唱えますのに、
皆様も倣いながら、それぞれ願いを込めていらっしゃいました。
大方１０分間ほど浸かられた後、海から上がられた皆様は震えつつも大変清々しい、
満足気なお顔でございました。
宮司によりますと、外気が大変冷たかった分、海の中はほんわりと暖かく感じたとのことで、
後日参加された皆様から、「わずか一回の禊であったけれども、何かが変わった気がします。
この年のいいスタートをきることができました。来年も参加させて頂きますので、
ぜひまたお願いします。」というお言葉をいただき、
宮司もそれに答えるべく、年の初めの恒例行事として続けていきたいと申しておりました。
また三が日は連日穏やかな良いお天気に恵まれまして、例年通り３万５千人ぐらいの方々に
おいで頂きました。境内は社殿の前からさざれ石の神座まで５列縦隊の長い列ができ、
参拝されるのに４０分から５０分ほどお待ちいただくほどでございました。
しかし元日は朝１１時をかわきりに１５時３０分まで天翔獅子と巫女舞が交互で舞われ
多くの方に喜んで頂きました。
今日も土曜日ということもありたくさんの方においで頂き、私たちも大変忙しい日々を
過ごしております。これもひとえに皆様のお陰でございます。
