小雪の舞う新年の幕開けでした。
暦のうえでの大寒が過ぎ、宮崎では良いお天気が続いておりますが・・・
空気が乾燥していることもあって、全国的にインフルエンザが流行っているようですね。
今年のお正月は、１２月３１日の夕方から１月１日の午前中、
ことのほか寒く小雪が舞うほどで、風情のあるスタートとなりました。
日向では雪を目にする事はほとんど無く、この冬もこの時だけでした。
そのような中、元日・二日・三日と県内外より多くの方にご参拝を賜り
また、さざれ石（神座）までの長い列に御並びいただき、ありがとうございました。
新年の厳かな御神気をいただき、一年の感謝・新年の無事と平安をお祈りし
清々しい気持ちで、一年の始まりを迎えられたこととお慶び申し上げます。
さて、昨日（１月21日）は、新年初の神事「的祈念」が行われました。
この年の五穀豊穣と国家の安泰、氏子崇敬者の息災繁栄を祈願し、
氏子総代により的を射るという行事です。
古くは、その年の米の収穫（出来不出来）を占うものでもあり、境内では
参拝された方も見学したりと、皆様の様々な声が響いて賑やかな一時でした。
今年の大御神社も元気な一年となりそうです。
皆様にとっても良い年となりますよう、心からお祈り申し上げます。
